BMX Birthday

And with the third birthday of the week complete, the Gauntlet is over for another year.  Max had a blast with his buddies at the track.  Here are some "trailers" of the action.

Update: Finally added the actual longer "movie" I had been wanting to make. I figured the boys would like to see themselves in action for longer than the short little clips above.

The Diva

Maya has been singing "Shake Your Booty" lately and it can be hilarious when she gets into it.  While trying to capture such a moment on video, we quickly found out that the little Diva was not in the mood to perform.

I love this kid.

Happy Veterans Day

Today I thought quite a bit about how best to express my gratitude for those who serve our country.  Just saying "Thank You" doesn't seem to cut it.  The fact is I don't have adequate words, I don't share a Veteran's experience or have their perspective.  But this is my best shot.

To all of my Veteran family members and friends, to you and yours...
Your service, your bravery, your honor, and your sacrifice truly humble me.  I hope on this day you felt appreciated, you felt proud, and that you were safe.

Hell Week (in a Good Way)

Birthday-cake-by-jessica-n
So tomorrow begins what Heather and I like to call "The Gauntlet."
Nov 10: Luke turns six.
Nov 12: Maya turns two.
Nov 17: Max turns nine.
Seven days of cakes, candles, presents, and wrangling our kids and their buddies through three parties.  It can be brutal.  On the bright side, after this we can pretty much ignore them for the rest of the year.

Chilean Miner Rocks Elvis

In case you didn't see this last night, great little moment with one of the Chilean miners. About 4 minutes in, he busts out some Elvis and when Paul fires up the band he can't help but get up and go for it.

The clip doesn't show it, but Letterman gave him a hug afterward. It was cool.
